About the role
The Director – Home, Personal Care & Beauty (HPC), part of FutureBridge’s Life Sciences Practice, is a strategic leadership role driving the practice’s growth, client success, and industry influence. In this role, you will lead high-impact consulting engagements, develop thought leadership, and shape strategic initiatives that help global HPC brands, contract manufacturers, and ingredient suppliers navigate market disruptions, emerging consumer trends, technological advancements, evolving regulatory landscapes, and sustainability goals.
This position requires a visionary mindset, deep industry expertise, and a proven ability to drive business growth. You will leverage your expertise in areas such as ingredient innovation, sustainable formulations, beauty tech, personalization, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and new product development to provide strategic direction and actionable insights to clients.
As a key leader, you will collaborate closely with C-suite executives, cross-functional teams, and industry stakeholders to strengthen FutureBridge’s HPC advisory services. Additionally, you will be responsible for refining consulting methodologies, expanding market reach, and enhancing research and advisory capabilities to deliver high-value, data-driven solutions that support innovation, brand differentiation, and commercial success.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Act as an entrepreneur in decision-making, driving business growth and advisory solutions in the Home, Personal Care & Beauty (HPC) domain.
- Build and expand a strong network of clients and prospects for advisory services in innovation, product development, and commercialization.
- Establish and augment thought leadership by identifying industry trends, market disruptions, and emerging opportunities in the HPC industry including cosmetics, skincare, haircare, home care and beauty tech sectors.
- Build and nurture C-level relationships, delivering high-value advisory and consulting solutions that align with clients’ strategic priorities in product innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Financial & Operational Excellence
- Strive to achieve defined revenue goals through first-class engagement with existing and new clients.
- Ensure financial sustainability by meeting predefined cost goals, optimizing resource allocation, and improving operational efficiencies.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement streamlined processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Work closely with different departments to improve coordination and drive seamless operations.
- Maintain high-quality standards by implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Client Success & Value Creation
- Lead solution and delivery teams to ensure high-quality advisory services and research deliverables.
- Design research solutions based on an empathetic approach to address client needs effectively.
- Enhance the impact of proposals, thought leadership initiatives, and project deliverables by ensuring strategic value addition and industry relevance.
- Handle all aspects of client communication, including kick-off calls, deliverable presentations, and feedback sessions.
- Provide clients with insights and actionable recommendations based on strong analytical and technical expertise.
- Ensure clear, professional, and impactful communication with client and internal teams, both verbal and written, by effectively articulating insights, project updates, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and maintain a strong network of consultants, freelancers, KOLs and experts.
- Take the lead in building, training, and mentoring a team of top-notch research specialists, consultants, and analysts specialized in offering techno-commercial research & advisory services in the Home, Personal Care & Beauty (HPC) domain, including personal care, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, home care, and beauty tech.
- Recruit, nurture, and retain top talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and professional development through internal training programs and mentorship.
Business Development & Innovation
- Take an active role in business development, articulating research and advisory services to potential clients and engaging them with thought leadership.
- Drive marketing outreach programs by developing industry decks, white papers, thought papers, articles, and case studies.
- Set the direction for growth by sensing market trends and aligning business strategies accordingly.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree or higher, preferably in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or an MBA with a focus on Consumer Goods, Beauty, Personal Care, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a relevant discipline.
Experience and Expertise:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in consulting or research advisory services, with substantial exposure to the Home, Personal Care & Beauty (HPC) sector, including personal care, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, home care, and beauty tech.
- Proven expertise in innovation, product commercialization, market entry strategies, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, and emerging technologies in the HPC and beauty industries.
- Experience in leading multiple high-impact consulting engagements or projects at a time.
- Ability to manage and nurture client relationships and driving business growth.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in business development and ability to develop thought leadership.
